Part of teaching someone how to fish also include the provision of adequate fishing tools. In Umuahii today, there is lack of a system through which the locals, men and women in Umuahii especially the financially displaced group can access funding and be sensitized about farming and agro business enterprise.
We live in the current changing environment. New techniques and ways of doing things are constantly evolving. New ways of farming and agro business development. Majority of the locals in Umuahii including men, women and the youths are totally displaced from the current trends.
This lack of knowledge had deteriorated the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and agro business owners in Umuahii and beyond. Together we can fix that by providing the knowledge transfer and access to information they need to success and compete.
As a result of the problem 1 and 2 above, there is a record increase in crime rate in Umuahii. Massive unemployment, lack of knowledge and direction across vast majority of the locals in Umuahii especially the youth is the side effect of problem 1 and 2 above. Together we can fix it.
